Using the placement kanban

Drag, drop, click, advance.

Why this matters

The kanban is the single working surface for the family pipeline. If you know how it behaves you can move five cards in 30 seconds.

What each column means

  • Initial Intake: brand-new inquiries. Status 'New' lives here.

  • Candidate Search: families who have done discovery and signed an engagement. Status 'Proposal Sent' lives here.

  • Client Interview: families who are actively meeting candidates. Status 'Discovery Scheduled' or 'Discovery Booked'.

  • Offer / Placement: contract is out for signature. Status 'Contract Out'.

  • Placed: an active placement. Status 'Active'.

How to move a card

  1. Click and hold a card; drag it to a different column. It snaps in optimistically and the dashboard fires a stage advance behind the scenes.

  2. If the advance fails (rare; usually a network blip), the card snaps back and a red banner explains why.

  3. Single click (no drag) opens the detail panel for that card.

  4. Use the filter dropdown (top-right of kanban) to filter by tier, or the search box to filter by name.
