Handling a new candidate application

Why this matters

Candidate quality is the single biggest variable in placement outcomes. Set the bar early.

What happens automatically

  • Application from /apply?flow=candidate creates a new Candidate row with 'New' status.

  • A Drive folder at /Candidates/<lastname>-<id>/ is created.

  • A profile doc is generated using their answers.

  • An ack email is sent to them.

  • A notification email is sent to you.

What you do

  1. Open the Candidates page. New applications appear at the top.

  2. Click the row to open the detail panel.

  3. Read the profile doc (in 'Linked artifacts'). Eight things to skim: years experience, role, languages, certifications, references, drivers license, vehicle, swim certification.

  4. Click the NBA: 'Schedule phone screen'. Pick a slot in the next 3-5 business days.
